If you are looking for a quick efficient hassle free lifting facility for your boat, and are fed up with dealing with the large marina's who are mainly very expensive and have a very unaccommodating attitude towards the normal boating fraternity then look no further Our aim is to provide a quick efficient and very competitive lifting facility whether your looking for long term or a quick lift out for maintenance and antifouling. We do not charge for holding in the slings for up to 24hrs.
There is a high pressure steam cleaner at the top of our 25 meter wide slipway for your use, or we can do this for you, at a small charge.
We also provide an emergency lift out service any time, 24 hours a day 7 days a week, an will endeavour to accommodate you at short notice.
Leave your boat with us for the winter and rest assured that it's in good hands.
Moor your boat here alongside the pontoons or quay.
We have the option of under-cover boat storage.
If your boat needs work doing the resident marine engineer can help.
The boatyard is monitored by CCTV and night watchman.
The first of its kind in the UK unique mooring service 100+ deepwater trot and swinging moorings at Mount Edgecumbe (Oil Steps). Owners using this facility are able to use, free or charge, our courtesy taxi rib to go to and from their boat with out the need for the hassle of a dinghy. This service runs in conjunction with our other marina at Torpoint Yacht Harbour from the 1st April through to mid October on the hour 9am seven days a week subject to weather and tide.
Customers can also store their dinghy’s and outboards safely at Southdown Marina as part of the service, should they wish.
Other facilities included in this unique options are, full us of the marina facilities, toilets, showers, car parking, pick up water and 224 hour security at the harbour.
Customers of Southdown Marina can also, free of charge, land at Torpoint Yacht Harbour to enable easy access to Torpoint Town Centre and Plymouth City Centre.
In the meantime Trevor, I and Nathan the new Marina Manager will endeavour to continue offering professional boatyard and berthing facilities within Huggins Marina Group without the major corporate marina’s horrendous fee’s and surcharges.
Can all customers and berth holders now ensure that any future payments with effect from the 1st December 2006 are now made out the Huggins Bro’s Marina Group.
